The Greyhound Annual Summer Real Ale and Cider Festival 2010

20-23 August

This will be our biggest festival ever. With Dorset know having 10 Breweries, we are bringing you a real taste of Dorset Ale.

Each Brewery is going to represented this year, we have also 30 Ciders which we have tracked down from throughout Britain, bringing the total of ciders and ales to 78... A feast for any real ale lover. Also on sale this year will be handmade Pork Pies from Bridport Gourmet Pie Company, Homemade Scratchings and A BBQ. We will also have a series of tasting Notes and a Quiz to win a free meal here .

The Greyhound is also thrilled to host the greatest Johnny Cash Tribute band over  this weekend, Cash Converted  on Sunday 22 and Frankie Rudd on 20 August ...

Hop on the steam Train from Swanage.... and sample to your hearts content

Seafood festival

Saturday 4 - Sunday 12 September

This year we have a vast selection of shellfish for you to sample.... Oysters, Clams, Mussells, Lobster, Squid and Scallops together with  Paellas, Risotto and simple freshly grilled Local whole Fish. The seafood plates will sell between £5-00, £10-00and £15-00 with Huge Fruits De Mer platters at £30-00. We will also be offering a variety of Fresh Kimmerdige Bay Crab Dishes

During September join us to watch a Civil war re-enactment in the castle gounds -  the siege of Corfe Castle performed by the Sealed Knots Society Take to the stage and reflect  past times of the castle

Sausage and Cider Festival

Sample a true taste of Dorset with 15 flavours of sausages, and 10 ciders here !! Homemade Chutneys, cider gravies accompany Venison, Bison, Lamb, Chicken and Beef sausages all spiced to our liking by our butchers.Sample at least 8 types of root vegetable mashed potato, the like of Butternut, Swede and cinamon, Feta cheese and Garlic mash, Roasted Apple, Leek and Butter, Celeriac and Bacon
